Laura Hoover (aka "Hoover")
My husband Thomas and I live in NW Fort Collins with the foothills nearby and the sound of the train at a healthy distance. We have an acre of land that has been a home to various animals, friends (one of whom lives in our renovated Airstream guesthouse—our residence for the first 3 years of marriage), and our now family of four! Juniper Quincy was born this past November and has been the most delightful addition to our small tribe. Thomas runs a wilderness ministry through our church, operates his own business building decks and pergolas over the summer, flips houses in the winter and—don’t tell him I said this—he is the second youngest American to climb Mount Everest.
Some of the things we love most
We love climbing, river trips, gardening, cornhole, travel, our community, loving Jesus, projects, drive-in movies, and taking risks. Most of my day is spent thinking about food, and I love hosting and cooking and using design to transform the spaces we inhabit. I'm optimistic and can find the gold in most anything.
After running a catering company for five years, I transitioned to real estate, an interest of mine since I was a young girl. While enrolled at Colorado State University, my passion for design and real estate investment grew by leaps and bounds. At the age of 21, I bought my first home (shout out to government credits for first-time homebuyers), which I renovated and still hold as a rental property. I had so much fun with this project that I went all in, working full time as a broker and investor and to help others reach their goals. I believe in the power of building wealth through real estate, and I love turning this potentially stressful process into an enjoyable and accessible experience. My husband and I have renovated and rent a number of homes in N. Colorado, operated an AirBNB, and we currently dabble in higher-end flips. With my mind for design, I also love to help uncover the potential in each home that I show, looking beneath the surface for the hidden possibilities. Do you need help making sense of the home-buying process or seeing the diamond in the rough? I’m your girl.
